Whether you’re pursuing a degree, learning a new skill, or continuing your professional development, we’re here to help including covering the cost of your schooling. Because at Saber, we don’t just care about what you do, we care about who you’re becoming.

The goal of this program is to provide financial assistance for educational advancement in areas that directly benefit your role and our organization. This includes tuition reimbursement and loan forgiveness options for eligible employees.

Eligibility Requirements

    • Must be a full-time employee or affiliated employee
    • Have at least 1 year of employment (unless otherwise approved)
    • Maintain good work performance and attendance
    • Professional Achievement Grant (PAG) Only: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) serving in an approved leadership role, such as Director of Nursing (DON) or higher.

Program Requirements (Once Accepted)

    • Maintain a “B” average or higher (no reimbursement for failed or repeated courses)
    • Sign a commitment to continued employment post-graduation
    • Submit all required documentation on time each term, including:
    • Transcripts and grades
    • HR validation of work and school standing
    • Proof of maintaining at least 24 hours/week during school and full-time post-graduation
    • Mentorship agreement and completion of a Mentorship Survey each term
    • Obtain licensure within 6 months post-graduation (if applicable).

Student Loan and Forgiveness Program

Our student Loan and Forgiveness Program is designed to ease the financial burden of higher education while recognizing the commitment of our dedicated employees. Whether you’re pursuing a degree to grow in your current role or preparing for future leadership, this program offers meaningful support by helping repay qualifying student loans. With a focus on career-aligned education and continued service, we’re proud to invest in your success—because when you grow, we all grow.

How does the Student Loan and Forgiveness work?

  • Speak to the NHA or DON and request a recommendation letter.
  • Choose a school and meet with financial aid to complete the Pre-Reqs form.
  • Write an essay and complete the application.
  • Deadlines to Apply for 2026: January 31 and June 30, 2026. Winners will be announced the following month after each deadline.
Tuition Reimbursement

 We are committed to helping you grow both professionally and personally. Our Tuition Reimbursement Program supports employees in pursuing education and certifications that enhance their skills and benefit the communities we serve. Whether you’re working toward a degree, earning a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) certification, or completing specialized programs like Wound Care, Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), or Life Enrichment Certification, this program can help cover your costs. And that’s just the beginning; many other approved programs may also qualify with prior approval.

How Does it Work?

  • Speak with your HR director or community Administrator
  • Submit a pre-application and Tuition Reimbursement Form before starting coursework
  • Get approval from your Administrator, HRG, and RVPO.
  • After completion of application, approval and fully executed contact, submit proof of the below through Concur:
        • Proof of payment
        • Letter stating you are working correct status
        • Grades (“B” or better) or certification

NOTE: Reimbursement is only available with an approved application and a signed contract through Student Success.

Professional Achievement Grant

The Professional Achievement Grant (PAG) is a specialized tuition assistance opportunity designed to support DONs, Regional/Divisional Clinical Nurses, and RDCS, who are pursuing advanced degrees that align with our organization’s mission and clinical excellence goals.

What Programs Are Covered?

The PAG supports degree advancement for:

  • BSN
  • MSN

(Available to DONs, RDCS, and Regional/Divisional Clinical Nurses)

How to Get Started

  1. Speak with the RVPO or RDCS to obtain approval to apply.
  2. Choose a school from our list of partnered institutions and begin your application.
  3. Write an essay and complete the full application process.
  4. If selected, you’ll receive an award letter and must sign and return the agreement contract before any funds are disbursed.

 

Good News! There is no deadline to apply. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Step 2: Comeplete and Submit Application and Required Documents

  • A brief essay describing what you plan to do with the degree and why you are passionate about healthcare
  • A recommendation letter from your community Administrator
  • Documentation relating to the coursework and associated costs
  • Completed pre-requisites form
  • Headshot photo that can be used for social media purposes

Explore local funding opportunities
Apply to your local school and Program of Choice
Meet with Financial Aid Office Complete FAFSA and accept all grants and scholarships

Tuition Reimbursement

Step 2: Complete Application

 

  • Employee: completes application and submits to Administrator.
  • Administrator: Reviews and approves/declines. If approved, forwards to HR Generalist.
  • HR Generalist: Confirms eligibility and sends to RVPO.
  • RVPO: Approves/declines; if approved, sets contract details, completes conditions, signs, and returns to HR Generalist.
  • Contracting HR Generalist submits signed application to Tuition Assistance Portal for agreement processing.
